Mas de les Serres: Costa Brava area

The owners of this luxury Costa Brava vacation rental have spared no expense on the restoration project of the Masia which was completed towards the end of 2017. The quality of the fixtures, fittings and furnishings are of the highest standard. The interior layout of the house has been well planned and the distribution of the bedrooms and communal areas flow nicely.

The main house comprises of probably the largest kitchen we have ever encountered in a private house plus a second, smaller kitchen for prepping and cleaning. Also on the ground floor there's a spacious main living room and a dining room for up to 12/14 people. Two en-suite bedrooms are also found on the ground floor. The upper floor has four bedrooms including the Master bedroom which has access to a large private terrace and access to the garden and pool.

Next to the main house one finds the converted hay barn which is a self-contained one bedroomed house on two levels and great for guests or teenagers.

Main House Ground Floor

Bedroom 1. Double 1.8m x 2.0m with adjacent bathroom with stand alone tub and seperate shower.

There is an inter-connecting door between the two bedrooms making this an ideal family bedroom wing.

Main House Upper Floor

Bedroom 3. Master Bedroom with double bed 1.8m x 2.2m. En-suite bathroom with stand alone tub and shower. Connecting sitting room with sofa, fireplace and balconette. Access to private terrace and to garden and pool.

Living Spaces

Main House

The extensive ground floor of the main house contains various living spaces of which the main ones are the kitchen and living room. The fully equipped huge kitchen is a focal point of the house and this is where people tend to spend a major part of their time. The kitchen has every appliance one could wish for plus a large gas range and an indoor charcoal BBQ area. The adjacent second, smaller kitchen is used for prepping food and has extra fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The spacious, light and airy main living room has comfortable sofas and large fireplace. Sliding doors lead to an outdoor terrace. There's also a snug TV room with Apple TV and DVD player. The ground floor bedroom wing is accessed from the main living room.

Guest House

The guest house has two floors. The lower floor is the living quarters with sofas, TV, fireplace, kitchen and table for four. The upper floor is the bedroom and bathroom.

Outdoors

The Masia has ample well looked after grounds which are divided into various areas. Up above the house is the main outdoor grassy area where one finds the large 10m x 5m salt water swimming pool and outdoor kitchen/seating/dining area. Wifi reaches to the pool area and there's also a WC here.

There's two more outdoor dining areas, one to the back of the house under an arched frame of bougainvillea and one to the front of the house under a stone vaulted ceiling. Next to the guest house there's three large lemon trees and there's also a vegetable garden with seasonal vegetables.

There's plenty of outdoor games such as table tennis, basket ball, trampoline and petanque. The grounds are quiet and very private.

The main house has air conditioning throughout. Wifi throughout both the main house, guest house and garden.Fully equipped kitchens.

Concierge Services

Locally based we offer a free concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions such as a day trip to Cadaques and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.

Distances

Five minutes' by car to the nearest town with bars, restaurants and supermarkets. 20 minutes' to the nearest beaches of Begur and Tamariu. Girona 45 minutes, Barcelona 90 minutes.
