The village of Peratallada is without doubt one of the prettiest and unspoilt medieval villages in the Baix Emporda and Casa Peratallada is perfect for those who enjoy a village ambiance and who appreciate a good selection of restaurants within walking distance from the house. A luxury modern designer house located within a Medieval village may sound like an unlikely success story but after a long planning process between the Town Hall, the owners of the plot and the architects the result is a perfectly balanced and harmonious residence which fits in perfectly in it's surroundings.
Designed by prestigious local architects and built in 2015 the house is spacious, modern and comfortable. The main living room, kitchen and ensuite master bedroom are all located on the ground floor with the remaining three bedrooms and bathroom on the upper floor. The indoor main living area is separated from the outdoor main living area by floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which can be opened to create one huge indoor/outdoor space.
The spacious and fully equipped kitchen with its central island is perfectly situated to serve meals indoors or outdoors. The kitchen also includes a large American style fridge/freezer, filtered tap water and a utility area.
The house has recently had full air conditioning installed (2025) and there is also an underfloor cooling/heating system which can be used as an alternative to air conditioning if preferred. All windows have newly installed automatic blinds which shut out the sunlight providing a good night's sleep..
Some of the nicest beaches on the Costa Brava are a 20/30 minute drive away including the beaches of Begur, Tamariu and the Medes Islands. Casa Peratallada is within a short drive to a number of Costa Brava golf courses so makes an ideal golf vacation rental in Spain.

There is also an additional bathroom with shower on the ground floor.

Main covered outdoor living area with comfy sofas and outdoor dining table and chairs. 10m x 3m salt water swimming pool surrounded by decking and with eight sun loungers. Large grassy area great for kicking a ball around with young ones. Brand new (2025) outdoor kitchen and BBQ area.

Locally based we offer a free concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions such as a day trip to Cadaques and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.

Located in the heart of Peratallada, this property places one of the Baix Empordà’s most remarkable medieval villages directly on your doorstep. Stepping outside leads immediately into a maze of narrow stone streets, historic buildings, fortified walls and charming squares, with restaurants and cafés scattered throughout the village. Beyond Peratallada, the surrounding countryside offers an exceptional concentration of medieval villages, while the beaches and dramatic coastline of the Costa Brava can be reached within a short drive.
Peratallada & local heritage
- Peratallada: One of the most beautifully preserved medieval villages in Catalonia, Peratallada retains its authentic fortified character, with ancient walls and a moat surrounding a maze of narrow, winding streets. The castle, keep and stone buildings create an exceptionally atmospheric setting that is best discovered simply by wandering through the historic centre.
- La Bisbal d’Empordà: Around 10 minutes away, this lively town provides a wider choice of restaurants, shops and everyday amenities. It is also one of Catalonia’s most important centres for traditional pottery and ceramics, with numerous workshops, galleries and specialist shops.
- Pals & Monells: Around 10 and 20 minutes away respectively, these two charming villages add further examples of the medieval heritage of the Baix Empordà. Pals is known for its fortified hilltop old town and panoramic views across the Empordà plain, while Monells is centred around its beautiful historic arcaded square.
- Begur: Around 15 minutes away, the historic hilltop town is dominated by the remains of its medieval castle and combines traditional stone architecture with spectacular views towards the Mediterranean and the famous coves of its coastline.
Beaches & coastal landscapes
- Platja de Pals & Platja del Racó: Around 20 minutes away, these broad sandy beaches offer a very different coastal landscape from the small rocky coves around Begur. Their open shores, dunes and clear waters provide plenty of space for swimming, relaxing and enjoying the Mediterranean.
- L’Estartit & the Medes Islands: Around 20 minutes away, L’Estartit is the main gateway to the Medes Islands and the spectacular Montgrí coastline. The protected natural park combines rugged cliffs, hidden coves, beaches and an exceptionally rich marine environment, making the area particularly attractive for boat trips, snorkelling and diving.
- The coves of Begur: Around 20–30 minutes away, the coastline around Begur offers a succession of beautiful Mediterranean coves, including Aiguablava, Sa Tuna, Sa Riera and Platja Fonda. Crystal-clear waters, pine-covered cliffs and rugged coastal scenery make this one of the most famous stretches of the Costa Brava.

Testimonials
The villa was excellent and in a great location for walking to many superb restaurants. It was also only 20/25 minutes from amazing beaches. Jane, as the host, was outstanding and provided great beach and restaurant recommendations - she really made the holiday for us.
The garage parking is a bit tight so a big car would be tricky.
