Villa La Fosca: Costa Brava area

Villa La Fosca is a rustic Catalan style villa surrounded by 3000Sqm of private grounds which offer complete privacy. This Costa Brava vacation villa is a perfect choice for those who seek sea views, walking distance to beaches and restaurants, private pool with lawn. In short, it is a place where parents as well as children will have the holiday of a lifetime and memories to cherish.

With capacity for up to 14 people the villa is perfect for two or three families looking to holiday together. One of the main features of the house is the spacious and comfortable living room which opens out and extends to an outdoor seating and dining terrace area with the gorgeous panoramic sea views as a backdrop. The pool, main garden and shady seating area are on a lower level accessed from the side of the house through the garden.

This unique villa dates from the 1950's and is decorated in traditional Mediterranean style in harmony with the architecture of the house and also includes some modern elements such as three brand new and modern bathrooms.

When trying to decide what is the main feature of the house it is difficult to choose between the views, the total privacy and peace and quiet, the garden and pool or the comfortable seating/living areas but what trumps all these things is the location. La Fosca beach is less than 10 minutes' walk and offers a great sandy beach and a choice of restaurants. The cute Cala S'Alguer with its' brightly coloured fisherman's huts is just 10 minutes' walk from the house. One of the best sandy beaches on the whole Costa Brava, Platja Castell, is a 15/20 minute walk along the Cami de Ronda coastal path.

The main port of Palamos is a short drive or 4km walk along the coastal path and offers a multitude of restaurants, shops and a daily fresh fish market.

A discreet and friendly Cuban couple live on-site in a separate self-contained cottage and look after house and garden maintenance as well as offering home-made catering if requested.

On the ground floor there is also a TV/games room with two single sofa beds that can be made up if requested (there is a surcharge for this room if it is needed. Please enquire about extra costs).

Spacious suite with access to terrace and sea views. Comprising of two separate rooms, one with two single beds 0.9m x 1.9m and the second with one single bed. Modern en-suite bathroom with shower.

Large main suite with access to terrace and sea views. Two singles 1.0m x 1.9m or double 2.0m x 1.9m. Large dressing room area which can be closed off with sliding doors. En-suite bathroom with tub and separate shower.

Double four-poster bed 1.8m x 1.9m with access to private terrace. Second room with single bed and modern en-suite bathroom with shower.

Twin bedroom with two single beds 0.9m x 1.9m. Doors opening on to a small balcony and forest views. Adjacent bathroom with tub and incorporated shower.

All bedrooms have closet space.

Living Spaces

Upon walking through the main entrance of the house one finds a spacious hallway. To the left leads to the ground floor bedroom and bathroom, to the right the kitchen and a grand staircase leading to the first floor bedrooms. Straight ahead from the hallway is the main living room dominated by a large open fireplace and numerous comfy sofas. There is also a small study/library and a dining room with table and 14 chairs. Here there is also small office room which doubles up as an extra bedroom for children (upon request and if needed.)

Household Amenities

The spacious kitchen area is fully equipped with two large fridges, dishwasher, oven, microwave, nescafe coffee machine and an adjacent ironing room if needed. Outdoors in a courtyard is a laundry room with washing machine and clothes line. The house has WiFi internet.

Outdoors

The outdoor area has everything one could wish for, plenty of seating, shade if needed, outdoor dining and a large 12m x 6m swimming pool surrounded by lawn. There's a total of nine sun loungers, six by the pool and three on the upper terrace. Private on-site parking.

Concierge Services

Locally based we offer a free concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions such as a day trip to Cadaques and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.

Distances

Less than 10 minutes' walk to the nearest beach, La Fosca. Platja Castell beach is a 15/20 minute walk along the coastal path. The beaches of Tamariu and Calella de Palafrugell are a 15/20 minute drive. Girona 45 minutes', Barcelona 90 minutes' French border 1 hour.
