Built over two floors this beautiful modern house has been cleverly designed to optimize natural air flow which keeps the house cool indoors during the summer months. With strict building controls in place this ecologically friendly house has been built using locally sourced and reclaimed materials. Decorated in earthy neutral tones using high standard fabrics and furnishings. Behind the scenes the engine of the house is state of the art heating and plumbing system which provides ample hot water and high water pressure. For the rendering of the interior walls the owners chose to follow a natural and age old process of using natural calcium plaster which has been used in houses in the region for thousands of years. This natural and eco-friendly plaster has a slightly course and pleasing tactile texture.

The ground floor comprises of living room, kitchen, guest bedroom and bathroom and a second smaller single bedroom with en-suite shower. The upper floor has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a children's TV/lounge seating area.

The central living room has two comfortable sofas, TV and fireplace. Glass floor to ceiling doors lead out directly to the garden. To one side of the living room is the kitchen which also has direct access to the outside where one finds a BBQ and outdoor table and chairs. To the other side of the living room is a corridor which leads to the main entrance to the house and the guest bedroom. The guest adjoining bathroom also has direct access to the garden. The ground floor also has a WC.

Stairs lead to the upper floor where one finds the remaining bedrooms and play area.

Great kitchen with an interesting juxtaposition of antique and modern including 90cm wide Smeg gas range and oven, twin sinks, antique dresser and pantry.

Outdoors

Mediterranean plants and shrubs and lawned garden. 8m x 4m pool with Roman steps and shallow shelf. Hot water shower. Various outdoor seating areas including an alcoved and covered area with fireplace. Trampoline to the side of the house.

Locally based we offer a free concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions such as a day trip to Cadaques and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.
