Luxe Aiguablava Beachfront Villa: Costa Brava area

This house, if not the most exclusive on the Costa Brava is certainly up there among the very top elite private residences available on the rental market in Catalonia.

There's various reasons why i make this lofty claim. One - the location. Aiguablava is arguably the most sought after part of the central Costa Brava and this house is bang right on top of the beach. No other house is closer or has better views. Unbeatable.

But it is not just the location. The private grounds are breathtaking. Maintained with great care by the on-site housekeepers you have 180 degree unobstructed sea views. You have two heated pools to choose from, private direct access to the coastal path and beach and restaurants of Aiguablava. There's a good sized covered porch with a selection of seating and dining areas, a top of the range BBQ and a Petanque piste.

Now we come to the house itself. You may be mistaken in thinking that from the outdoors it doesn't look anything too special. The original house dates from the 1960's and when the current owner applied for planning permission the main structure of the house had to remain. However indoors the house oozes class and high end interior design offering an exquisite living experience.

There's all kinds of adjectives i could use to describe how good the interior is but suffice to say it is very very good! The owners have spared no expense and have created a truly beautiful house using only top quality materials and furniture as well as a collection of unique art pieces.

Upon entering through the main door to the house one is greeted to a splendid central curved, almost sculptural, staircase. Neutral tones radiate a certain calmness and tranquility.

The house is constructed over three levels. The middle floor with various living rooms with direct access to the gardens. The spacious kitchen with original vintage La Cornue range. The upper floor with four ensuite bedrooms and the lower floor with gym, hammam and games room with drop down projector and WC.

We have an indepenent three bedroom annex which is included when you take the main house and this is listed separately on the Charming Villas website.

New on the rental market this is a rare chance to enjoy top end luxury very few get to experience. Suitable for multiple families with children or extended family vacation on the Costa Brava.

Housekeepers live on site and are responsible for gardening, cleaning and security. For an extra fee they can also do grocery shopping and cooking.
