Villa Cap Roig: Costa Brava area

Originally built in the 1970's Villa Cap Roig has been transformed in to one of the most beautiful and contemporary homes we have visited in the 20 years since we started Charming Villas back in 2005. Sitting within a plot of 10,000 sqms the 500 sqm house has been cleverly re-designed by an acclaimed local architect and decorated to a very high standard by a well-known interior designer who has passionately combined original works of art with local artisan pieces and second-hand antique finds.

The house itself has a great fluidity with spacious communal areas, wonderful modern kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The landscaped exterior is equally stunning with various seating areas, ancient olive trees, a huge 18m x 4m swimming pool, great privacy and the amazing uninterrupted countryside views of the Emporda Plain with the Gavarres in the distance. The wonderful virgin beach of Cala el Golfet is a five minute walk and the restaurants of Calella de Palafrugell are a short 15 minutes' walk away. The Cap Roig headland, ideal for forest walks or cycling is right on the doorstep.

Decorated in calming neutral colours and fabrics the house also contains custom-made pieces of furniture from a Belgian designer and carpenter including the large indoor dining table which is made from reclaimed pine beams. The house is not only aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, it is also full of modern details such as powerful air conditioning in each bedroom and retractable Smart TV which appears out of the floor! The kitchen is also pretty amazing with its central island and micro-cement work surfaces and includes two dishwashers, large American style fridge and osmosis still or fizzy drinking water on tap.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The house contains five ensuite bedrooms three of which are located on the upper level and two on the lower level. All bedrooms can be made as King size double 1.8m beds or two individual single beds. Bedroom 5 contains four single beds and is ideal as a childrens' room. All bedrooms have a shower and bedroom 5 also has a bathtub. All bedrooms have cupboard space and independently controlled air conditioning.
