Emporda Holiday Cottage: Costa Brava area

One of the perks we are lucky enough to enjoy at Charming Villas is getting to visit all these amazing houses both on the Costa Brava coastline and also in the beautiful Emporda countryside. In the 20 years since Charming Villas was founded in 2005 we have had the pleasure of visiting many gorgeous private vacation homes in the Emporda and this recently restored holiday cottage is no exception. 

Owned by a leading Barcelona based architect the house has been cleverly restored using only the very best materials. The house is spacious, comfortable and stylish, perfect for a relaxing vacation for all ages.

Dating from the 16th Century the owners have taken care to preserve many original features including vaulted Catalan ceilings, original tiles and walls yet effortlessly blending high quality modern conveniences.

The distribution of the house is as follows;

Ground Floor. Entrance hallway with vaulted Catalan ceilings. The first bedroom leads off from the hallway and is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Spacious and with a large open shower, polished concrete floor with under-floor heating and air conditioning.

The entrance hallways also leads through to the expansive living room where one finds comfy sofas, fireplace, cool artwork and dining table with space for 10 and a connecting games room. 

The living room connects to the kitchen which in turn has direct access to the outdoor living and dining area. Beautiful and well stocked modern kitchen with central Island, Miele appliances and high standard porcelain work surfaces.

Upper Floor. Stairs lead to the upper floor which is dominated by a large open multi-purpose space with sofas and TV, work desks for catching up with the office if needed and quiet corners for reading or doing jigsaws. Three good quality bedrooms lead off from the landing area.

Outdoors. The snug and delightful covered porch area is where a lot of time is spent outdoors and equally comfortable as a dining space or for relaxation. Adjacent to the pool one finds a really nice gym with sauna, showers, WC and changing room. Plenty of space by the pool for sun loungers and seating.

All beds have brand new good quality mattresses and  linen. All bedrooms have air conditioning, closet space and bedside reading lamps.

Main living area on ground floor with sofas, dining table and adjoining games room. Upper multi purpose living area with sofas, TV, and work areas.

Outdoors

Private garden with large pool. Main outdoor covered porch area connecting to the kitchen and comprising of outdoor furniture, dining area, gas BBQ and Planxa. Private pool with sun loungers, gym with changing room and sauna.

Household Amenities 

Fibre optic internet connection. Air conditioning throughout. Modern fully equipped kitchen. Underfloor heating.Black out bedroom curtains. 

Distances

Walking distance to nearest small village with one bar and bakery. Larger town of La Bisbal less than 10 minutes by car. Costa Brava beaches within 30 minutes.
