Built in 2018, Can Rinel is a fine example of modern architecture with high spec installations, comfort and great sea views of Aiguablava bay. Built into the side of the hill the house is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. With its combination of exposed concrete, glass and wood the house has a certain minimalistic style yet exudes comfort and warmth.
All fixtures and fittings are brand new from the fully equipped Baulthap kitchen to the main living area sofas and chairs. The house has integrated air conditioning throughout and each room has individual temperature settings. The house benefits from 30 meg WiFi.
There's also a laundry room and a private garage for two cars.
Can Rinel without doubt sits high up on the list of luxury villas on the Costa Brava and is also a great family sized villa for all age-groups.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedrooms 1-3 are located on the lower level and bedroom 4 is located on the upper level. Bedrooms 1-3 have sliding doors accessing the terrace and garden and bedroom 4 has access to a private atrium.
Bedroom 1. Master suite with King size 1.8m x 2.0m bed. Adjoining bathroom with shower and separate tub and skylight. Large dressing room.
Bedroom 2. Double bed 1.4m x 2.0m
Bedroom 3. Twin single beds 0.9m x 2.0m
Bedrooms 2 & 3 share a bathroom with shower.
Bedroom 4. Double bed 1.4m x 2.0m with en-suite bathroom with shower.
Living Spaces
The spacious main living area is the central hub of the house. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors open out to a front terrace with sea views. Sliding glass doors also open out to the garden where one finds a decking area with dining table with seating for 8 people, lawn and the 9m x 4m swimming pool. The living room also has comfortable seating and a large dining table giving you the option of dining indoors or outdoors.
Household Amenities
The house has all modern amenities as one would expect in a high standard new build. Integrated air conditioning throughout. 30meg Wifi throughout. Top of the range and spacious Baulthap kitchen with induction hob with integrated extractor, two fridges, freezer, microwave oven, two types of coffee machines, wine fridge, toaster, mini-oven. IPTV international TV channels including all UK sports channels and movies. Selection of board games.
Outdoors
The brand new salt water swimming pool takes centre stage in main outdoor area and is surrounded by quality hard wood decking. Installed in 2022 a new and efficient pool heating system raises the water temperature to 28* and above. There is also an outdoor shower. The house has eight sun loungers, a built-in gas BBQ and dining table. Indigenous Mediterranean shrubs surround the perimeter of the property and a carpet of colourful "Ice Plant" cascades the front bank in front of the bedroom terrace.
Concierge Services
Locally based we offer a free bespoke concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.
Distances
Aiguablava beach is a 10/15 minute walk or two minutes' in the car. Both Tamariu and Begur are less than 10 minutes' by car. Girona 45 minutes and Barcelona 1 hour 30 minutes.

Another great stay
This is the second time we have stayed in Can Rinel and the third stay with Charming Villas. They are super friendly, very helpful and everything works perfectly. The housekeepers as well as suppliers they work with are also excellent and it makes it a relaxing stay from start to finish. They have a wide range of villas but all seem to be of a high standard and some look amazing - much better than a lot of the stock in this area which can be chintzy, damp or old fashioned. It is great to stay in a beautiful and interesting building. Can Rinel is the perfect villa, it has everything you need and the views are amazing. The kitchen has been designed to be used and we had some great meals using food we had bought in the Palafrugell Market.
We would recommend the taxi service from Masca Motor, good value and early with excellent careful drivers. We also hired cars from them which was also efficient.
Casa Peya is a lovely place to spend some time in Palafrugell if you want to extend your break and an evening at L'Arc is always on our agenda as is a trip to Serra deli.

Easter break at Can Rinel
This was a long planned and much delayed trip to the Costa Brava - it was perfect! The house was stunning an so well organised and set up - one of the best houses we have rented anywhere in the world (and we've rented a few over the years). The location was stunning and views were an unexpected highlight.
The staff at Charming Villas were incredibly helpful during all the Covid delays and the staff on the ground were also so easy to deal with and so helpful.
We hope it will become an annual event - such a perfect cycling spot!

Great quiet hide-away with a nice view
The location is away from the main road which makes it relatively quiet. Good indoor garage to park 2 normal height cars, and plenty of rooms and space to accommodate 6 to 8 adults/adolescents. The design of the villa and its exterior are amazing! The furniture and fittings are of top quality and design, with huge and very heavy glass sliding doors, so one needs to be careful with small kids getting stuck, breaking stuff or making things dirty. The kitchen is well equipped and a breeze to work and prepare food for the group of 8. The pool is a good place to spend the afternoon with plenty of sun, shielded from the directs winds, with 8 sun beds and a BBQ to prepare your food near the pool (if wanted). Recommended.

Fabulous holiday
Can Rinel is a thoughtfully and fantastically designed villa that gives great views as well as shade and breeze. Nothing has been forgotten, whether kitchen utensils, a lift for all our Palafrugell market shopping or eye catching design. The location is beautiful as well as convenient - being able to walking down to Aigua Blava was a real plus and the walk up was a good excuse for a swim and cool beer. Tamariu was also easily in reach. Charming Villas and Liz were very efficient and the week passed way too quickly.
We love to come on holiday to this part of the world as this is a special place and Can Rinel made it even more special. Local tips - Es Dofi in Tamariu for fresh seafood on the beach, L'Arc in Palafrugell for tasty food in a lovely setting, the market in Palafrugell for when you cook yourself and, if you want to extend your stay, Casa Peya hotel in Palafrugell - really relaxed and beautifully done.

Super family stay at Can Rinel
We stayed with our family a week in July 2019 in the villa. Our expectations were high, but upon arrival it turned out to be even more beautiful than we had hoped for. The living space is beautiful, and especially the spacious kitchen has given us much pleasure. The living room can be fully opened, which is wonderful with the sea breeze. The surroundings are beautiful green, beautiful sea views and it is also very quiet.
We found the service of the maintenance company "outstanding". Also Charming Villas, Richard, has us throughout the booking process and during the holiday perfectly supported. No effort was too much!

Wonderful week with my family
