One of the most disappointing aspects of Christmas (besides the crazed consumerism) is the piles of plastic, paper and all kinds of packaging left over after the festivities. As globalization, consumerism and man’s threat to the planet grow, so does our need to find sustainable methods of waste disposal. The Drap Art exhibition in Barcelona serves to encourage creative recycling and suggests innovative alternatives for our unwanted items. The exhibition changes the perception of what “waste” is, and encourages the idea that things can be transformed, reused and recycled in a positive way.
