In Spain and throughout Catalonia, the three wise men (or “els Reis Mags d'Orient” -  the three kings of the Orient) come tonight and magically bring presents and gifts to all the children.

Christianity celebrates the three kings on the day of Epiphany, January 6, the last of the "twelve days of Christmas".

The Three Wise Men come from the Orient on their camels, and like the Northern European Santa Claus with his reindeer, they visit everyone in one night.

All throughout Spain and Catalonia there are “cavalgades” this evening, in which the kings and their servants parade and throw sweets to the children and their parents!
