This amazing apartment is located in the heart of the historical village of Besalú and offers independent self-catering accommodation in the home of local artist Kel Domenech.

The apartment is located above his own street-level art gallery. Indeed, one could say that the apartment itself is a work of art, with quirky and unusual design concepts incorporated into each corner. Kel's high standards are self-evident in the quality of fittings and furnishings. The accommodation is completely unique to anything we have ever seen before, combining works of art, antiques, contemporary design, modern furniture and comfort.

This is the opposite of a boring hotel room, and is suitable for a couple who appreciate art and who are looking for something surprising and unconventional. You will have private access to the artists gallery, and may be able to sleep there if you wish to immerse yourself into a truly unique living experience.

Originally trained as a cabinet maker, the local artist Kel Domenech has created a an extraordinary place to stay in the heart of his home. Kel's work is pure eclecticism, experimenting with colours, textures and materials. In fact, the only constant in his work is his high self-demand to the standard of final touches of his work. Kel is passionate about art and will be eager to tell you more if you are lucky to meet him during your stay.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Bedroom 1: Large bedroom with partially exposed stone walls, king size bed, LC4 Le Corbusier Chaise Longue, fitted cupboards and balconies overlooking a quiet street. 

The bathroom is outside the bedroom in the main living area.

The spacious open plan living area has two distinct areas, a sitting room with flat screen TV, a chester sofa and Ray & Charles Eames Lounge chair and a dinning room with kitchen which can be cleverly closed behind sliding doors.

Lovely decked terrace with pergola and outdoor furniture.

Concierge Services

Locally based we offer a free concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions such as a day trip to Cadaques and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.
