Mas de sa Planassa: Costa Brava area

Mas de sa Planassa is a unique Catalan Masia situated in the heart of the Cap de Creus national park. With countryside and sea views, no other buildings within sight, no roads and no people the house is a sanctuary of total peace and quiet. This is a house where one can concentrate on some serious relaxation away from the maddening crowds. Although Cadaques is only 5kms and 15 minutes' away by car, the access road is a rough track which one really needs a SUV or 4x4 vehicle to navigate. This may put a lot of people off but others may find that this adds to the uniqueness and charm of the place.

Mas de sa Planessa comprises of four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The Main house

Ground Floor

The main feature of the ground floor is a large stylish and cosy two-part living room with comfortable sofas on the upper part and a small table and chairs on the lower part. Access to the side and front terraces. Sound system with a good selection of Cd's. Through to the wonderful fully stocked and homely country style kitchen which has every appliance one could think of and which for those who like to cook will be a real thrill. Kitchen table and chairs for six. A door leads from the kitchen to an internal courtyard which has a washing machine, a large dryer and clothes lines. A charcoal BBQ is also to be found inside the courtyard.

Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and is a King size double bed. Small adjacent shower room and toilet. This bedroom also has an independent access to the front outdoor terrace.

Upper Floor

Stairs lead to a landing area with laundry storage. To the right of the landing area is a cosy TV room with satellite TV and Dvd's. A door gives independent access to outdoors where stairs lead down to the ground floor front terrace. Bedroom 2 is adjacent to the TV room and this can be made as a King size double or two single beds. Bedroom 3 has a wash basin. This bedroom has a large bathroom with tub and separate American style shower. Twin wash basins.

The Cottage

The cute and cosy two bedroom cottage sits to the rear of the main house and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and compact but fully equipped kitchen. Access to the cottage is through a courtyard containing a pool, sun loungers and tables and chairs for 8/10 people.

Bedroom 3 is a King size double bed with bathroom containing a small tub and incorporated shower. Bedroom 4 is a Queen sized double with bathroom containing shower.

Separating the two bedrooms is the kitchen and authentic country style kitchen table, bench and chairs for up to six people.

Household Amenities

Satellite wifi. The main kitchen has a heavy duty and industrial gas oven/stove, two fridges and freezer, twin sinks, dishwasher, good quality cutlery etc, plenty of pots and pans and utensils. Washing machine, dryer, BBQ, coffee grinder, toaster, plenty of table cloths and napkins. The cottage kitchen is fully equipped but without dishwasher.

Concierge Services

Locally based we offer a free concierge service to all of our clients. We can help arrange a whole range of extra services including securing tables at top restaurants and private chefs to cook for you at the villa. We can help plan itineraries, suggest excursions and help with car hire/airport transfers if needed.

Outdoors

The house is totally surrounded by the protected Cap de Creus national park. With no other buildings in sight this is an authentic and unique opportunity to spend time in a place very few people will get to experience. The two main outdoor seating areas are to the side of the main house where there is dining table and chairs for up to 10/12 people. The second seating area is in the cottage courtyard and pool area.
