Casa Garrigoles: Costa Brava area

Casa Garrigoles is a delightful old house which has been lovingly restored by a well-known local architect. Care has been taken to preserve as many original features as possible. The palimpsest walls and arched ceilings have been added to and modified over the centuries giving a wonderful patina and originality. The cosy interiors with their whitewashed walls and earthy fabrics emit a certain serenity and calmness. The ancient thick stone walls help protect the interior of the house from the summer heat eliminating the need for air conditioning.

The main house is spread over two levels. The ground floor comprises of a long living/dining room which at one end has a small outdoor patio which enjoys views over an orchard to the countryside in the distance. The compact kitchen with white marble work surface and gas hob is fully equipped. On the ground floor one also finds a WC.

The upper level comprises of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also an open space at the top of the stairs, an ideal spot for reading or relaxing. The fourth bedroom is found in a converted garage opposite the main house. This bedroom has an ensuite shower and kitchenette with fridge. This is where one also finds the refreshing plunge pool, perfect for cooling off after a walk in the surrounding countryside.

Located in the tiny village of Garrigoles this is a perfect location for those who seek a slow paced and peaceful holiday in beautiful countryside. This part of the Emporda region is one of the quietest and also most stunning. Less crowds than the popular Baix Emporda villages yet only a short drive to the nearest beaches and Begur only 30 minutes away.

Bedroom 1. Master suite with double bed 2.0m x 1.6m with bathroom with shower, terrace and countryside views. TV.

Bedroom 2. Double 1.9m x 1.5m 

Bedroom 3. Small double 1.9m x 1.4m

Bedroom 4. Located in separate building. Small double 1.9m x 1.4m. Ensuite bathroom with shower.

Bedrooms 2 & 3 share a bathroom with shower.

All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Living Spaces

Main living area with comfortable sofas, fireplace and TV. This leads to the indoor dining table area which in turn leads to the kitchen. The living room leads to an outdoor seating area.

Outdoors

The house has two outdoor areas, the patio to the front of the house with seating and outdoor dining area and a second area behind the fourth bedroom which houses the swimming pool. Here one also finds sun loungers, chairs and a BBQ.

Internet wifi, Smart TV with internet connection, fully equipped kitchen with gas range. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms if needed. Washing machine and dryer.
