Summer Tennis camps in Barcelona and Catalonia E-mail

Now is the time of year when parents consider combining a summer holiday in Spain with a tennis summer camp for their children. When choosing a suitable location people often don’t look past the world famous Sanchez tennis academy in Barcelona. Although there is no denying that some of the top stars in the game have trained here such as Rafa Nadal and Andy Murray, but one criticism could be that it can be a bit “factory – like” with tons of kids pounding it out without much individual attention.

Perhaps not as well know as Barcelona, the area further north around Girona offers a wide range of tennis summer camps for children. From the Catalunya Tennis resort with its 14 courts near Girona to a more one on one approach at Torremirona Spa there’s options for all levels of players and budgets.

Tennis summer camps Catalonia

The coastline in the Girona province, the Costa Brava, has some of the most spectacular beaches in the whole of Spain. From Dali’s old haunt of Cadaques in the north, the Greek/Roman ruins of Empuries to the pristine beaches of Begur further south, the Costa Brava has plenty of offer for everyone. Come away from the coastline and there is a whole host of medieval villages and amazing countryside to explore.

Staying in a “Charming Villa” offers you the best of both worlds – within close enough proximity to a choice of tennis academies, beaches and peaceful countryside all while enjoying a top quality private villa.

We are happy to advise and work with you in detail to find you the perfect combination of tennis and villa to suit your needs.

Places de visit: Barcelona's Palau de la Música E-mail

One of Barcelona’s hidden treasures, quite often not discovered by the usual tourist is the Palau de la Música, a UNESCO World Heritage Site,  located in the heart of city, minutes away from Placa Catalunya.

Palau de la Musica, Barcelona

It  was built built between 1905 and 1908 as a place where music could be enjoyed at its most, and it is still today a major site hosting festivals and music concerts.

The breathtaking architecture full of colour and natural light is a magnificent example of Modernist architecture, designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, a contemporary of Gaudi.

The interior design, made of mosaïcs, sculpted stones and numerous impressive stained glasses, is absolutely stunning and well worth a visit.

The best way to enjoy the Palau is to go to an actual concert, but there are also daily tours taking place in English, Catalan and Spanish. Visit: http://www.palaumusica.org/  for more information.
