Located in the heart of the beautiful Pla de l’Estany hills, just north of Girona, this lovely farmhouse is perched on a ridge with fantastic views.

The property is within easy reach of the beautiful Costa Brava beaches (less than 30 minutes away) and close to the historic cities of Girona, Figueres and the French Border. Barcelona is just 1h away.

Here the air is clear and guests can relax informally in the countryside of rural Catalonia, dotted with medieval hill towns, woods and green fields. This area is excellent for bicycling and walking. It is possible to bike to several nearby villages on quiet country roads to visit a coffee bar or pick up fresh bread in the morning.

Guests can also explore village markets, craft and pottery shops and marvellous restaurants.

This beautiful stone “mas” (farmhouse) has a red-tiled roof, ancient well and stonewalls with climbing bougainvillea. It dates from 1806 and is has spacious accommodation for 12-13 people with 7,600 sq feet indoors and a large pergola/BBQ area outside.

It has been lovingly renovated to keep the original flavour with exposed-stone walls, vaulted ceilings, huge exposed beams, terra cotta-tiled floors, and colour-washed walls.

Downstairs you will find a large entry hall with vaulted ceiling, a large and comfortable living room, and a spacious eat-in country kitchen. There is also one en-suite double bedroom, and a library/office with a computer and twin beds to provide sleeping space for two additional guests.

Upstairs there are 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.

Ground floor
Downstairs Bedroom 1: Queen Size bed (160 cm / 63 in), table and chairs and 2 large closets, and large en suite bathroom with tub.

Library /office with twin beds to provide sleeping space for two additional guests. Please note these guests will have to share the bathroom with Bedroom 1.

First floor
Master bedroom 2: King Size bed (180 cm / 71 in), two-seater sofa for reading, table and chair, two walk-in closets, dresser, and large en suite bathroom with tub and double sinks.

Double bedroom 3: Queen Size bed (160 cm / 63 in), small bathroom with shower and double sinks, closet and dressers.

Double bedroom 4: Two Single beds (90 cm / 35 in) which can be zipped together to King size (180cm), large closets and dresser, small bathroom with shower and double sinks.

Double bedroom 5: Queen Size bed (160 cm / 63 in), ample closet space, dresser, antique bread oven (now as decoration), private bathroom with tub just next to room.

Double bedroom 6: Two Single beds (90 cm / 35 in) which can be zipped together to King size (180 cm) plus an extra single and very ample closet space. The bathroom, with a bathtub, is also just next door and can be made private by drawing a thick curtain in the hallway just before the room. This room is ideal if there are three adolescents who want to stay up late chatting since it is the furthest from all the other rooms.

Living Space
Open plan country kitchen with fireplace and sitting area, and large living room/games room with snooker table, satellite TV and DVD player.

Outdoors
Outside are a spacious garden with sunny and shaded areas, pergolas, BBQ, swimming pool (5 x 10 meters), large space to play soccer and a bicycle shed.

Fully equipped eat-in kitchen, pantry and laundry room with washer and dryer. Computer with Internet access, satellite TV, DVD player and stereo. Ping-pong table and billiards table. Air conditioning in all the rooms (charged extra)
