Originally an old fisherman’s house, the property was restored and enlarged by its present owners, and offers today plenty of comfort and aesthetic pleasure with its attention to detail and personal touches. Unlike many hundreds rental villas in the Costa Brava, Can Puig is unique, because it’s a cosy house that feels lived in, a house with a soul.

The French doors in all the bedrooms fill the interior with light, and create a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow, providing access to the outdoor living spaces: terraces, shaded dining, and the pool area, all with stunning vistas overlooking the town. Dining al fresco by the pool here is absolutely idyllic.

The property is distributed in two levels, with the master bedroom and its wonderful terrace being independent on the top floor, and the rest of the bedrooms on the ground floor.

The local town of Cadaqués, with its whitewashed houses lining the narrow sloping streets and its rocky bays on either side of the harbour (which is still a working fishing port), it is a genuinely charming little place with a relaxed, slightly bohemian atmosphere. But at the same time it possesses a sophistication born out of its years of association with artists such as Dali, Picasso and other renowned intellectuals. In the town you will find a Monday market, two supermarkets, many small shops. There are also bars, cafes, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, a dentist and a medical clinic.

Top floor
Bedroom 1 (Master bedroom) with king-size bed and private bathroom, with marble topped double basin unit, bath/shower, WC.

Ground floor
Bedroom 2 with king-size bed and sofa bed. En-suite bathroom with marble topped basin unit, shower, WC.

Bedroom 3- with twin or king-size bed- and Bedroom 4- with twin beds- share a bathroom with marble topped basin unit, bath/shower and WC.

Living Space

Sitting room with French windows onto terrace. Open fire, lots of books and CD player with good selection of music. The owners love not having a TV but it can be arranged on request. Dining room seats 12 very comfortably.

Outdoors

The terraced garden has several tables and seating areas, some shaded. Comfortable sun lounges by the pool. There is a barbeque and pizza oven. The pool measures 12m x 6m and can be heated by arrangement.

Household Amenities

Smallbone kitchen, very well equipped with six ring double oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. No microwave.

Utility room with washer, dryer and farmhouse sink. Second fridge/freezer.

Telephone, internet. CD player. No TV, but it can be arranged on request.

The house has full central heating and air-conditioning on the upper floor only.

2 min walk to Cadaques town centre.

30 minutes drive to Figueres.

45 minutes to Girona.

1.5h to Barcelona

Refundable security deposit: 600 Euros

Arrival day: generally from Saturday to Saturday during the high season, but flexible whenever possible.

Minimum stay: 1 week in the high season.

Price includes: water, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels. Daily housekeeping Monday to Friday.
