El Mont

Dating originally from the 17th Century, El Mont is a well-preserved Catalan mansion, situated on a very quiet and private location, yet with great proximity to Barcelona (40 minutes) and the coast.

Right in the middle of a forested nature preserve, this is a place to truly disconnect, relax, and enjoy magnificent views onto the rolling hills, nothing but pristine nature as far as the eye can see.

The enormous property consists of a main house with several wings.

On the ground floor, immediately following the entrance is a Moroccan-inspired room, a spacious kitchen and an adjacent dining room, elegantly decorated and furnished with a long table sitting 14.

From here you can step out onto the covered terrace, furnished with colonial-style sitting beds, which has breathtaking views of the garden, the pool and the surrounding hills.

The interior also includes a cosy bar and the former wine cellar, which has been equipped with TV - perfect for long evenings spent in the company of friends.

On the first floor there is another living room with elegant sofas, TV, DVD, a stereo, an open fireplace and a wonderful view.

The adjoining room is an amazing 80m2 master suite, ideal for a romantic couple (details further down). This room has a spiral staircase that leads directly to the indoor swimming pool (3,5 x 7,5 m), which is also accessible from the entrance, providing the suite with complete privacy.

The first floor also has 3 additional bedrooms, all en-suite

The second floor features a large games/living room, 4 more bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The main house has a total of 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, there is also an annex apartment.

First floor

Bedroom 1, Master suite: 80m2 : large suite with en-suite bathroom (with bath and hydro massage shower.) . This room features an open fireplace, double bed, sofas, enormous windows and a spiral staircase that leads directly to the indoor swimming pool.

Bedroom 6 and 7 are best suited for a family or children, as to access bedroom 7 one has to walk through bedroom 6. These two bedrooms share one bathroom.

Extra beds are available upon request - please contact us should you wish to book the house for more than 19 people. 

There is also an annex apartment available with a capacity for 2.

Well equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, dishwasher washing machine, tumble dryer. Central heating.

Outdoors

The gardens are extremely well cared for and laid out in terraces. The property also includes a summer kitchen with a BBQ/grill and Moroccan-inspired garden furniture, changing rooms and showers next to the swimming pool (10 x 15 m), and sun lounges. There is also an 85m2 covered area adjacent to the garden suitable for celebrations and events.

Distances

The location of this villa is perfect for people who wish to visit the wonderful city of Barcelona, which is just 50 km away. The nearest beaches on the Maresme north Barcelona are also just 50 km from here and the beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava not much further.

The nearest village is 3km away, where you can find all kind of amenities like a shop, several restaurants and bars.

Note: Prices are for up to 19 people at the main house, extra beds can be provided for 200 Euros per guest/week, or 60 Euros per guest/weekend. Free for children under 2.

An extra fee applies for celebrations.

Everything was great. The only comment we have is that it’s really worthwhile to tell people that its 2-3 Kms gravel road as we might have taken another car than the Porshe :-) your service was impeccable and we have no complaints at all. Thank you for everything and we will definitely use your services again in the future.
